Mark Thibodeau
Dear Parents,
WELCOME TO THE 7TH GRADE WEB PAGE
HERE ARE A FEW THINGS ABOUT ME!
My name is Mr. Mark Thibodeau and I will be teaching a 7th grade homeroom this year which includes 7th grade math A, life science and religion. I also teach 8th grade math B and 6th grade earth science and 6th grade math B. I have not met many of you, so I’d like to take some time to tell you about myself. This will be my third year as a teacher at Cataldo Catholic School.
I grew up in Edmonds, Washington and attended both a Catholic grade school and high school. Before I decided to be a teacher I got my undergraduate degree at Gonzaga University in 2002. I worked at a boys’ boarding school for 3 years as a counselor for troubled youth, coached basketball at Cataldo and worked at other jobs with teens before I decided to go back to school. I decided to further my education in 2006 and got my Masters in Teaching, and I graduated from Gonzaga University in 2008.
I enjoy hanging out with friends and playing recreational sports in my free time. I truly enjoy being a teacher and look forward to days in the classroom to both teach and learn. My mission is to assist the students along their journey to becoming a life long learner. I want to help them gain confidence to spread their wings and fly on their own. I have high standards for both my students and myself and I expect your child to work hard to reach these standards. By working together student, parent and teacher we should succeed in developing a successful student. I look forward to a year that should be truly fantastic. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have. I welcome your involvement, and look forward to seeing you around school.
Sincerely,
Mark Thibodeau

Old: Jack and Jill are playing a game. There are six tiles in a box: 3 red and 3 blue. A player picks two tiles without looking. Jill gets a point if the tiles do not match; Jack gets a point if they do match. What are the odds that both tiles will have the same color? Is this a fair game? Explain your answer. No work no credit! :) Deadline: January 24th.
ANSWER: There is a 2/5 that both tiles will have the same color. The game is clearly not fair.
